General Information about the Starry Night Event at Homestead Blessings:
The event is June 10th from 7-10 PM at Homestead Blessings on 10981 W Caton Road, Corning.
What is the attire?
Dress for a cool, late spring evening that makes you feel socially comfortable indoors and out. (Save cocktail attire for another time.)
What activities are indoors and outdoors?
The open-door venue spaces have heated floors and the outdoor tent is heated. Tables, chairs, and music will be in the heated spaces along with appetizers, desserts, the bar, PRC displays and the silent auction area. There are outdoor games, fire pits and outdoor seating areas to enjoy.
Where do I park?
Drive-through guest drop-off is available. Parking attendants will direct drivers to 1 of 2 parking areas. Parking area 2 requires a short walk through the grassy lawn back to the event center.
Is there a cash bar?
No. The bartenders cannot accept payment for alcoholic drinks that are served at the bar. To accommodate this, we will have a donation center established in the registration area and it will be staffed all evening. A suggested donation will provide a wristband for the bar for adults over the age of 21. Complimentary soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water will be available all evening.
Is the auction on-site or online?
Both! Exclusive Silent Auction Items will be featured at the live event! You can also participate in the online auction that begins June 5 and ends June 11, the day after Starry Night. See the FAQs below regarding the online auction.
What is a Wine & Whiskey Pull?
An assortment of bottles of Wine & Whiskey will be beautifully disguised and tagged. A $30 donation is all it takes to choose one bottle whose retail value is $25 - $100.
What is a Star Board?
Our annual Star Board supports the very practical needs of the PRC. Well-loved PRC toys have a lifespan and must be replaced from time to time. Office and cleaning supplies always need replenishing, and some like to donate toward staff development and other needs. Star Board items may be purchased for the PRC online and at the event. There is a central table to make donations on June 10th.
General Information about the Starry Night Auction:
Is the auction on-site or online?
There is an online auction for everyone to participate in, whether you attend the Starry Night event or not! You can bid on your favorite items faster if you register for an account in advance at www.32auctions.com/users/new.
The online auction will open at 1 PM on Monday, June 5, and will close at 1 PM on Sunday, June 11. You can view some featured items in advance at www.32auctions.com/sn23. Bookmark this page for easy reference!
On June 5 beginning at 1 PM, view each online auction item and bid as often as you'd like. Items have a predetermined starting bid and set bid increments. If you don't want to bid on items but still want to support the PRC, you can choose to donate an item off the PRC Star Board. Just select PRC Star Board on the auction item drop-down menu and you'll see a listing of the PRC's specific needs.
A few exclusive items will only be available for bid at the Starry Night event at Homestead Blessings on June 10th. You must be present to bid on those live-only items. Those items will have paper bid sheets and can go home with the highest bidder upon receipt of payment that night.
How does the Starry Night auction work?
1. Simply register for online bidding at: www.32auctions.com/users/new
2. On Monday, June 5 at 1 PM, the Starry Night online auction will be open for bidding. Visit www.32auctions.com/sn23 to browse items. Bid high and often to ensure you win your desired items!
3. Be sure to get your bids in before the auction closes on Sunday, June 11 at 1 PM.
How do I know if I win an online auction item?
You will receive an email from 32auctions informing you that you have won an item after the auction closes.
If I win an online auction item, how do I pick it up?
Auction items that can be mailed in a standard business envelope will be sent via US Postal Service on or before June 16, 2023. Larger items can be picked up at the PRC during our drop-in play hours. If that is not convenient, call 607-936-3837 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are happy to work with you on your schedule.
